My blood Pressure be 122 over 98 today when I go to the doctor. how do i lower it?

My doctor was shocked to see this and said it went style up. It usually is 120 over 78-80.

could stress cause it to go up? except stress what could cause it to go up?

I'm an alive person and work out so I don't think it's do to human being unhealthy but maybe?

your doctor is not a professionist. that is middle-of-the-road.. yes, stress causes your blood pressure to go up. my blood pressure be 140
I m a family doctor and I treat a lot of large blood pressure. My FIRST question always is "Is this really big blood pressure?" One reading doesn't give the diagnosis. The patient should return for a nurse solitary BP check, if it is consistantly elevated I recommend you go get a home BP cuff, appropriate it with you to the docs office to check against a instruction manual cuff to ensure it is accurate. Then you can keep a log for the doc , taking it 3-4 times a week at various times.

My gut instinct is that this is a one time point. Blood pressure readings are very labile and can move adjectives around with activity, stress, the wrong sized cuff, nurse error etc....I other have the patient relax for 5-10 min next retake it
The other question, if it is really consistantly elevated is why? have you gain weight? taking any meds that can raise it approaching cold meds? Stress can raise it but it shouldn't stay elevated constantly or its just as damaging as non stress induced hypertension.
There are natural ways to lower BP, but that varies deeply from patient to patient. Weight loss is markedly effective. A good multiple vit near magnesium is an option. Omega 3 esential faty acids are important for cardiac vigour. Excercise, smoking cessation, a program should really be tailored to the patient
hope it helps!! You can email me at vita_min_md(a)yahoo.com if you would resembling more specific info on lifestyle changes supplements of the diagnosis of hypertension
1) lose weight if you inevitability to 2) exercise 3)cut down on caffeine 4) cut down on salt.
pretty normal
There are plentiful reasons and it seems a bit paculiar your doctor did not treat you fittingly since he/she was "shocked"!
Coronary Artery Disease is one reason especially when you start seeing unexplained spikes surrounded by blood pressure.
I would call the doctor and get a better explanation of what transpired during your department visit! Did he feel concerned or did he in recent times know and ignore it?
The 122 is normal but the 98 is to some extent on the high side. My cardiologist told me the bottom number is just as major as the top!
my bp was 209/147. stroke breadth.
the lowest i've seen it was 187/101, that's on meds.

ur's isnt so discouraging babe. alot of things can increase it for short periods of time. you have to monitor it for awhile next average it off...
It's really not a horrible blood pressure so I find it strange that your doctor was "shocked". I used to own high blood pressure because of end stage renal disease and a kidney transplant fixed that but appreciably yours is different. Alot of times, people get stressed when they run to the doctor and their blood pressure/heart rate reflects that. It happens adjectives the time to a family friend and his blood pressure is normal when he checks it at home. If you're alive, I don't think it has anything to do next to your weight. A good track to lower blood pressure is to restrict salt. You'd be surprised how much salt is within processed/packaged food. Most likely it was merely a nerves/stress reaction though.
