All oil are bad for everyone, esp. ppl with hight cholesterol.
Olive grease is no exception.
If u heat oil, it become more hydrogenated and contains more and more wet fat. THAT"S BAD!!
Foods that contain a high proportion of saturated tubby are butter, ghee, suet, tallow, lard, coconut oil, cottonseed grease.
#1 Olive oil is a mono unsaturated oil, though it have the property of all fats central to accumulation. It is the best amongst oils and it is suggested for population with cardio-vascular disease.
#2 Any food be it carb, protein, when too much in amount lead to obesity by accumulation(adipose tissue), so FAT isn't the only culprit :)
#3 The Italians amply use olive oil, $ their food is all the more heavy- pastas, spaghetti, pizzas etc.. but they are hale & healty only b'coz of the virgin olive oil. Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olive_oil
Plus I've learnt rather bit of BioChem in my Masters :)
Olive grease is an excellent source of omega-3 acids and it should be used as the main cooking oil of your diet. Omega-3 acids contains the "good" cholesterol HDL which surrounded by term helps to remove your "bad" cholesterol LDL. Anything that is to say heated to a high degree would create molecular transmutation, often create carcinogens, olive oil should be only lightly heated (not fry) when cooking with food to retain the unproved molecular structure. You should consult other natural remedies on top of olive grease to stabilize cholesterol level, please refer to teh list of top innate food for lowering cholesterol http://www.cureshare.com/view_condition.… Source(s): http://www.cureshare.com
Look into Coconut Oil, I read this long article on it and the dramatic effects it have on cholesterol problems. My local health store sells it similar to crazy!
Olive oil is amazingly good for you.. not to throw you off.. but the number one food to put away that literally is the next best thing to medication.. is Oatmeal.. put away it everyday.. and it will lower your cholesterol.. I eat it every day.. Monday through Friday.
Yes it is, and also fish oil, or oily fish. That does not mingy fish cooked in oil or grease.
Olive oil consumption has a especially positive effect on blood cholesterol. Olive oil limits the oxidizing of impossible cholesterol (cause of artillery skilorsus and heart disease) because it
is rich in anti-oxidizing agents.
Olive oil contains a series of compounds that are severely beneficial to most functions of the human body and its' biological and therapeutic value is related contained by many aspects to its chemical structure.
The first aspect is its triglyceride composition, made up of fatty acids. Olive oil have a prevalence of monounsaturates, oleic acid principally, while animal fats are fundamentally made up of sopping fatty acids and seed oils of polyunsaturates.
Monounsaturated fatty acids are much more stable. Olive grease also has a low percentage of polyunsaturates and this is important because these style of fatty acids cannot be synthesized by the body.
The second aspect is in its minor components. The most salient ones are the tocopherols and polyphenols. These components have a key antioxidant function and are closely connected with virgin olive oils because refining processes alter and remove them.
Olive grease, as with any fatty substance, deteriorates during the frying process especially if it is used over and over and if the frying temperature is awfully high. High temperature destroys the fitting ingredients of any oil while it creates harmful agents for the liver, the arteries and the heart.
It is momentous however to take into consideration that these harmful agents are smaller number likely to be created in olive grease than in all other certain vegetable oils and this is because olive oil have a different composition. It contains a high percentage of oleic acid, which is much more resistant to oxidization than the polyunsaturated acids, which are found surrounded by large amounts in core oils. But more importantly olive oil contains unconscious anti-oxidizing agents such as phenols and vitamin E. When heated, olive oil is the most stable fat, which mechanism it stands up well to high frying temperature. Its high smoking point (210o C) is well above the just the thing temperature for frying food (180o C). Source(s): http://www.olioandolive.com
