High cholesterol can lead to heart disease. You don't want your cholesterol to be over 200.
It causes plaque to grow in the vein which can cause heart disease which can affect circulation which causes stroke or heart ruin. My dad had this problem and he had poor circulation contained by his legs. He required surgery to strip his veins and the placement of stents; a painful procedure and died of a stroke anyway. So that's the fuss.
There's upright cholesterol & bad & I can never remember which is which. The bad cholesterol should be considerably lower than 200. 200+ and you're in trouble.
