Answers:
Aloe Vera help the body to heal it's self. Cholesterol is a symptom of something wrong.
Aloe Vera have NEVER been used as a cholesterol treatment.
Sounds like a spanking new marketing trick.
It cab used as laxative :-)
Try Chinese herbs (only from reputable trained herbalist) or acupuncture instead.

Yes there is medical evidence of how and why Aloe Vera does work.
This research has be going on for only about 20 years, because the microscopes hold just now gotten powerful satisfactory to see the nutrients of the aloe plant and all the other plants that have soothing powers. We are in what is called "The Research Gap"
This is an entire alien emerging technology called Glycomics. In 2003, Glycomics was name by M.I.T. as an emerging technology that would change the world!
The functional component of the aloe vera plant was discovered by a pharmacologist within the 1980s. It is a nutrient molecule called mannose.
If you want to hear the whole story, you can examine it at www.mannapages.com/terry08. Select USA, continue, and the video "Disruptive Healthcare". This is the website of the research and development company that holds the Composition of Matter Patent on this technology, and have brought this to us through a dietary supplement. This dietary supplement was the only nutritional supplement feature at M.I.T.'s second annual Emerging Technologies convention for the application of this technology.
Most people have never hear of this research because it truly is an EMERGING technology. And it truly is amazing!!
There was a law passed by Congress surrounded by 1994 called the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994.
This law allows two leading things:
1. The scientific research of natural products to show efficacy
2. To ensure the dietary supplements produced stumble upon the "Good Manufacturing Practices" which ensure consumers get a dietary supplement that contains exactly what it says it does on the label.
I haven't heard that Aloe Vera lowers cholesterol, but I do know that the functional component in the Aloe plant is every celebrated for the body to repair and restore itself, no matter what the health concern may be. And I own read research that when the supplement that contains the stablized functional component of the Aloe Vera plant was consumed the cholesterol levels did come down.
There is no medical evidence that aloe vera will lower cholesterol. Aloe vera is not approved by the FDA for the treatment ANY medical condition.
Nutritionists recommend aloe vera for the treatment of minor sunburn since it has antiseptic and antibiotic properties. Source(s): FDA (Food and Drug Administration)
